Beer Cooler Conversations

“It’s five o’clock somewhere,” Kameha, the old Longboard beer muses as he sits freezing in the cooler at Sammy’s Pub in historic Downtown Belmont.

In an instant, the cooler is opened by one of the lovely bartenders who grace this excellent establishment, and the oldest Longboard yells to the bartender, who can’t hear the bottles talking, “pick me! pick me!”

But, alas, the bartender takes one of those snobby local craft beers out of the cooler much to the chagrin of the others in the cooler. As the snob is leaving the cooler, it seemingly thumbs its nose at the rest of those left behind.

Kameha, the topmost Longboard in the cooler says, “I wonder who will be drinking that snobby crafty beer tonight. Surely, it won’t be one of our favorites like Kathy, Stan, or the other regulars who come by to enjoy us. They have their favorites, and that snob isn’t one for them.”

Aspen, the oldest Golden, Colorado Coors Banquet Beer, replies, “It won’t be the owner, John, either. He likes the flavor of the Rockies, and I know when he comes in because he will pick my friends or me from this six-pack.”
