Brian, you are absolutely correct. It’s those moments in time with our parents that we cherish the most because tomorrow is not guaranteed. For me, fishing and hunting have been two activities that my Dad and I have enjoyed together, and lately there’s nothing better than sitting in a canoe with Dad talking about the real stuff that matters. It’s those moments when the big fish takes his bait and I become the adult and he becomes the kid.

I know I won’t take any of those moments for granted any more because at 76, I really don’t know how much longer I’ll have my Dad around. Thanks again for a great piece about cherishing those moments with our fathers.
